MARIA + MICHELLE, Ossining
When we take photos, there are three things we consider. One of them is the background. This image was captured because we loved the sculpture. As the shot evolves we start to consider lighting. This one was easy because they are standing in the direct sunlight. Last is the pose. Are you wondering what’s happening over in the distance?

STEPHANIE + JAMES, Westchester
This is a Country Club that we have worked many times. We are constantly trying to reinvent a shot that we have done before, not wanting to give our current bride something that she has seen us do. The sun setting ever so slightly in the background was the inspiration to move the subject off the band shell, with the shell’s incredible texture as the main focal point. We have ten different versions of this structure—none of them are the same!

DANIELA + JOHNNY, Kenisco Dam
One of my favorite shots we have ever created. As we stood under cover, allowing a freak rain downpour to pass, we noticed that this part of the dam was a perfect perch. Luckily the bride was wearing sneakers because she had to climb. They are ten feet up in the air. Daniela needed very little convincing.

DANIELLE + HER BRIDESMAIDS
It’s become very trendy for the bride to get her bridesmaids matching robes. As you can imagine, shooting this differently every time is nearly impossible. Not this time. Danielle had the idea—we just had to make it a reality. Who knew she would be so good at it? All we had to do was smash the shutter button as she kicked off the party.

STEPHANIE + RICH
Ring shots are a staple at every wedding. When I started it, was always done in someone’s palm, or on the fingers of the bride and groom. We quickly became bored with that. Nothing a little pyrotechnics can’t fix! This was shot with a leftover sparkler from the bride and groom send-off at the end of the wedding.

Photographer Ricky Restiano Captures The Big Moments

“Our clients expect cool photos. Our approach is to blow those expectations away. We want to make their jaws drop. When we go into a wedding, we do it with the intention that we are going to create something different today. Something that we haven’t done before. And, we delight in creating that. From the very start of my career, I have said: if I could live off the excitement my photos evoke, I would do this for free.”
