A lively gathering of more than 100 readers, advertisers, business partners, and well-wishers lit up dining destination Farm at Hotel Nyack on March 28 to celebrate the eagerly anticipated return of Rivertown Magazine.
Publisher Alain Begun expressed gratitude that the March-April issue – the first edition published since March 2020, before the pandemic pause – was received with great encouragement from the communities we serve.
Editorial Director Bruce Apar told the assemblage, “Our job is to focus on what’s good about the people, places, and things that comprise our area’s quality of life. We sum it up in four words. Eat. Shop. Live. Local. At the end of the day, we’re just caretakers. All of you – here and out there – are Rivertown Magazine.”
Also offering words of welcome was Hotel Nyack General Manager Matt Tobin.
During the networking event, business cards were exchanged as new contacts were made and friendships were renewed. It was a magical soiree, literally, with professional prestidigitator Michael Kirschner delighting the room with his bag of tricks (see profile of him on page 54 of this issue).
We look forward to seeing you at our next social mixer Tuesday, June 6, at La Terrazza in New City (details on page 81 of this issue).
