Local concert will celebrate the music of Alanis Morissette and other ‘90s female-led bands.

Saturday, June 17th at Olive’s in Nyack will host a tribute concert and celebration of female musicians of the 1990s with an emphasis on Alanis Morissette. Morissette was one of the most iconic musicians of the 90’s, having won the 1994 Grammy Album of the Year award for Jagged Little Pill.

To celebrate the music of Alanis Morissette and a broader era of 1990s female grunge-pop, the concert will feature an hour long set of Alanis Morissette’s greatest hits, an ode to female rock icon Gwen Stefani (No Doubt), and covers of other pioneers in women’s music such as Fiona Apple, Portishead, Hole, Tracy Bonham, and more. The show will be led by Rockland-based vocalist Lisa Jeanette with her band, Uninvited. The opening act will feature a duet by locals Mollie Olive and Marco Ferreira.

The instrumentalists for Uninvited, who will pay tribute to Alanis Morissette are: Marco Ferreira on guitar, Daniel Khalaf on bass, Fabio Amato on drums, and Jon Schmarak on keyboards, flute, and trumpet; all of whom have a list of impressive credentials as recognized performers and songwriters.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at Olive’s in Nyack, NY. Door open at 7, with music from 9pm – midnight.
