Help Those Affected by COVID-19

Nyack, NY – The COVID-19 pandemic is wreaking havoc across our country, state and right here in Rockland County. Untold numbers of people will be affected as this crisis continues. As of March 25, 2020, there have been 7 deaths within Rockland due to COVID-19 and 1,069 reported cases.

The Rockland County Coronavirus Crisis Fund, through United Way of Rockland, in partnership with the County of Rockland and the Rockland County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (RCVOAD) is now open and accepting monetary donations that will help those affected by COVID-19.

“This crisis is already affecting many people locally. Thankfully, we have already seen many examples of Rockland residents and businesses stepping up to help those in need or on the front lines of this fight,” said County Executive Ed Day. “Opening the Rockland County Coronavirus Crisis Fund is just another example that we are doing everything possible to help those who are struggling. These financial donations will go directly to those who are the most in need during this medical crisis.”

Your donation will provide lifesaving resources to families impacted by COVID-19. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and will remain in Rockland County to provide essential resources including food and other necessary items.

“Our neighbors are facing loss of jobs and suspended benefits making it difficult to afford basic needs. Local nonprofits are finding it hard to meet the increased demand for resources and services. We need your help in this time of uncertainty to meet the rising need here in Rockland.”

Dana Treacy, President and CEO of United Way of Rockland
