Dracula: Coming To A Theater Near You!

For live theater you can sink your teeth into, Dracula is coming to Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack Sept. 8-Oct. 7. The stage adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic novel is directed by Michael Edan (Southfields, N.Y.), with other local names you might recognize in a cast and crew that includes Nyack’s Derek Tarson (cast as Dr. Seward and producer) and Janet Fenton (costume designer); West Nyack’s Mimi Leahey (producer); Nanuet’s Donal Lehane (cast as Attendant); New City’s Kathy Simpson (stage manager) and Desiree Cobb (cast as Maid); and Congers’ Nancy Logan (stage manager). Rounding out the cast are Larry Brustofski (Dracula, Hackensack, N.J.); Aaron Newcome (Harker, Bridgeport, Conn.); Sommer Barstow (Lucy, Brooklyn); Arthur Chill (Renfield, Hawthorne Heights, N.J.), Meg Renton (Maid, Ringwood, N.J.); and Rivertown Magazine Editorial Director Bruce Apar (Van Helsing, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.). Nivia Viera has a walk-on role that she won at the theater’s recent fundraising gala. Also on crew are Rich Ciero (property master, Oradell, N.J.); Meghan Chill (assistant stage manager, Hawthorne Heights, N.J.); and Mike Gnazzo (lighting designer, Highland Falls).
