Continuing to Blossom
Erik Olsson decorated his first party 38 years ago and has never looked back. “It was a great weekend job, so I continued in high school and all through college.” Then, in 1994, Erik opened Amaryllis Event Décor as a sole proprietor.
“It’s all I’ve ever done, and it’s awesome. It’s creative, and different every weekend. Between all the different clients, color schemes, and seasons it keeps my work interesting.”
For over 25 years, Amaryllis Event Décor has combined sophistication, creativity in design, and an unparalleled attention to detail into breathtaking floral presentations and striking lighting displays for the most discerning of clients. “We offer complete event décor. We coordinate lighting, flowers—bouquets and huppahs—church décor, linens, furniture rental, table settings, and centerpieces. Honestly, we do anything that is needed for an event.” The main focus is wedding décor, but Amaryllis also produces lavish bar and bat mitzvahs, one-of-a-kind themed parties, and corporate events. A visit to their website or enticing Instagram page illustrates why Amaryllis Event Décor is one of the metropolitan area’s premier event specialists.
Under the hands-on guidance of Erik, the experienced staff of bridal consultants, floral designers, equipment managers, and event decorators will work closely with you to create and incorporate your theme, décor aspirations, and personal touches to create your fantasy. Professional on-site production and event coordination ensure every event runs perfectly. Amaryllis Event Décor produces one affair at a time, utilizing their entire staff to ensure your joyous celebration is nothing less than spectacular.
“Clients often come in with inspirational photos. Then we have the knowledge and expertise to guide them on the current trends. At that time we can help them with conceptualizing everything. It’s all about personalization for the bride and groom. I also want to create shock and awe. From the ceremony to the reception, I want guests to think, ‘Oohh, what’s around the next corner?’”
Even with a highly-trained support team at Amaryllis, you can trust that Erik will be on site to oversee all moving parts of the event and to tend to the client. “I’m in the trenches with them. I’m getting my hands dirty. The bride and groom meet with me, so they expect to see me there. And it’s for that reason that I only do a couple of events a weekend.”
Amaryllis Event Décor has been showcased in numerous national bridal and event publications since its inception and has been recognized as a leader in the floral and event decorating industries. Erik is a long-time member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) and the International Special Events Society (ISES).
Approaching thirty years of experience in designing exclusive parties and the most exquisite event productions imaginable, Erik can be dubbed a true visionary in his field. His dedication to his clients’ needs and genuine passion for actualizing the events of their dreams is what sets him at the top.
