A Few of Our Favorite Things With Ramsey Outdoor

You may prefer camping to poolside lounging, or perhaps backpacking to road trips, but either way, you’ll need a solid packing list before you reach your destination this summer. We checked in with Ramsey Outdoor manager Alex Horowitz for some outdoor must-haves.
Original Bogg Bag
This stylish, washable, tip-proof beach bag is one “we can’t keep in stock. They’re easy to hose off and easy to transport,” Horowitz says. Bogg Bags are available in a variety of colors and sizes, but the Original is $89.95.
Vuori Banks Shorts
“They’re lightweight, quick-drying, breathable, and soft,” Alex shares about these shorts. Bonus: they’re made of VCycled fabric (recycled plastic bottles). Available in a variety of colors for $68.
Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler
Consider this your extremely popular road trip companion. Horowitz weighs in: “It’s stainless steel, so it keeps your drinks insulated, and it has a reusable straw and a handle. Really nice for road trips.” The best copilot ever? A 40-ounce tumbler for $45!
Ben’s Tick & Insect Repellent Spray
Whether you opt for Deet or eco-friendly picaridin, this spray works great against ticks and is a summer must, “since they’re especially bad this season,” Horowitz says. Prices vary depending on size.
Tilley Airflo Hat
“Tilley has a phenomenal lifetime warranty, but the hats are so well made that you’ll probably never have to use it.” The Airflo is not only buoyant, but is also made from moisture-wicking and sustainable materials, has a hidden pocket, and is available in standard hat sizes — “so they fit very well instead of being one-size-fits all.” The hats range from $99 to $109.
Osprey Hikelite 26 Backpack
“It holds plenty of gear and is comfortable even with a lot of weight, so it doesn’t feel like you’re carrying too much.” At $130, it’s ideal for day trips and hiking excursions — especially if you have to carry supplies for yourself, kids, and pets, too.
Mustang Survival Underdog Foam Flotation
Instead of pulling Spot out by his collar in the event he goes overboard, carry one of these personal floatation devices in your starboard compartment. Per Horowitz, this one, made for dogs, has “two handles on it to help you get the dog out of the water more easily.” It’s available in sizes XS-XL for $70.
